Boston (October 2013) – Gameface Media, continuing its rapid growth, added multiple endurance events and brand sponsors during the fall.
Gameface continued its partnership with Rugged Maniac, covering five events in October and November. Other events included Bad Prom Night in Kansas City, Mo.; the Mud Mingle series across Florida; Harpoon Oktoberfest in Portland, Maine; 5k Foam Fest in Portland, Oregon; and the TARC Fall Classic in Carlisle, Mass.
Gameface also added its first event with Reebok CrossFit and reached new advertising agreements with Go Motion, Harpoon and Under Armor. “We are excited about the company’s continued momentum coming out of the fall event season”, Gameface Media CEO David Lavallee said. “Our brand partners are thrilled to be able to connect with our unique demographic, everyday athletes, in a new way. We’ve also experienced a great response from satisfied event participants as they receive their professional photos at no cost from a trusted brand sponsor. We’ll finish out 2013 strong and continue our rapid trajectory into 2014.”
In its inaugural year, Gameface Media shot more than 300,000 photos of more than 40,000 participants in October and November across events ranging from mud and obstacle races, prom-themed runs, an ultramarathon and a CrossFit competition.
Event participants received free high-quality, digital photos of themselves courtesy of the company’s brand sponsors. The sponsors have their logo placed in the bottom corner of every photo in their respective races. Also, the email sent to participant alerting them that their photos are ready includes special offers and discounts from each lead sponsor.
Gameface’s digital media platform makes it easy to download, email and share photos on social media, creating a powerful viral marketing effect for the brands.
About Gameface Media
Gameface enables brands to make a deep connection with sporting event participants by providing free photos of them participating in obstacle races, triathlons, running races, golf and skiing. Our social media technology drives participants to an advertiser’s website or Facebook page where they may be greeted with customized offers aimed at immediate conversion of these visitors into customers. The photos, branded with the company’s logo, may be downloaded, saved and shared on social media outlets for free. Because Gameface provides all of the technology and professional photography services that enable this experience, the brand company is not required to send printed promotional materials, tents, staff or samples to the event site.
